AHi Everyone,

Ok. So I was asked to price a Barbie vintage Cake and the customer sent me a picture of the cake that they want. Simple vanilla cake for 25 people.

I was wondering how much you think this would cost. I want to make sure I didn't under price.

Suggestions are welcomed as well as far as design goes :)

Thanks in advanced you guys!

AWhat are your costs for the cake? How long will it take you to make? How much do you want to make per hour?

Costs are not just flour, sugar, eggss... Don't forget: All ingredients (even if you already have the flour - it costs x amount per cup to replace) Gas to drive to purchase ingredients/supplies Cardboard cake board Cake drum Tools (guessing you will need a ruffle tool, exacto knife, pearl boarder mold, fondant smoothers, paint brush, gel coloring...just for starters) Water for the dishes Electric/Gas for the oven Soap for the dishes Saran wrap Cake box Insurance (car and business) Yearly license fee Ribbon that goes around the cake drum

Time charging includes: Answering emails/phone calls Driving to the store/ordering supplies Making the cake Clean up1 Baking the cake Clean up 2 Making the filling Filling the cake Clean up 3 Making the icing (personally I like to use white chocolate ganache under fondant) Icing the cake Clean up 4 Covering the cake with fondant Creating design elements Clean up 5
