hi  i just tried my first MMF and it was great until i added the color. now its sticky and tearing while needing. did i put too much color? how can i save this fondant? please help ASAP

Sounds like too much marshmallow/gelatin.  Add sifted powdered sugar, you may need to add a bit more vegetable shortening after.

AI don't have experience with homemade fondant, but if you add a lot of colour to bought fondant it often needs to rest overnight, and may still need more powdered sugar.

AAnytime I make mmf and add color I end up adding more sugar slowly. Typically I just out it on the counter and push it towards the center until it gets the right consistency so I don't have too much sugar added at once Also let mine rest overnight instead of using it right away if I out color in it Homemade is easy to overwork and heat from body temp and make it sticky
