Shelf Life Of Carma Massa Ticino Fondant?
Decorating By jennicake Updated 6 Jul 2014 , 7:24pm by jennicake
Does anyone know what the shelf life of this fondant is? Both unopened and after opened? I'm able to get a couple 15lb tubs of the stuff, and really want to try it after seeing all the fantastic reviews about it here. But it would take me a year to get through 30lbs of fondant, so I'm wondering if its ok to keep it that long.
Would love some feedback from those who have used it (or can see the expiry dates on any tubs on hand right now). Thanks!

I do not but I found this fondant online.

it stays fresh for a long time if you wrap it back up. Comes in small containers so the commitment isn't as long.
AI really doubt it's going to "spoil". I would think the workability would go before that happens. I haven't used this particular fondant so I can't say 100%. Theres quite a few around here who do maybe they can say more definitively
Thanks, that helps a bit. I never know if the dates on fondant tubs are "sell by" or "best by" dates!
AYeah, knowing what I know about commercially made fondant I just don't see it spoiling in that time span. If you were really concerned about it though you could take the deal, then sell the rest off. You won't have to work hard to get rid of it I promise you lol
AThe fondat will be fine for the year it will take you to use it up. Just make sure you store it properly (cool, dry location).

Or eat the rest if it tastes as good as I've been reading it does :p
