This is my first try at a carved cake and also first chocolate mud cake.
I used Pam's recipe from another thread on this website.
I doubled the recipe to make enough for a 9x13 pan. It came out ok but when I handled the cake and tried to wrap it for the freezer it broke into bits and pieces. I pushed them back together and froze it anyways.
First question... What happened?
Second... Is this salvageable? Or should I make another cake (probably using a recipe I've used before).
This is for a baby shower. I was going to carve the cake and ice with buttercream.
