AI there anyone willing to give me advice or explain to me how they work our their prices for celebration and wedding cakes!! I'm finding it so hard to figure out prices that I end up just giving a random number and my partner and family then say..'that's a really low price for such a big detailed cake' etc..I just don't have a clue what I'm doing lol :)

Tessholly, lots of threads about pricing in this site. just type in pricing in search bar and you'll get a ton of threads :)

figure out the prevailing per serving rate in your area for wedding cakes and charge at least as much as the highest priced place until you get a chance to research and tweak it-- but you won't be far off in the meantime--i'd say the majority of custom cakers charge the same for any celebration cake--except sculptures that's 2-3 times or more the per serving price --

hopefully you can get most pricing information online but making a discreet phone call or two is also an option -- it's in everyone's best interest that you get the right information --
