Need A Little Help With A Bottle Cake Please If Anyone Can Help

AHi can I ask all of you that have made one of these champagne bottle cakes coming out of a ice bucket how do you make the bottle bit do you make it out of rice crispies treats or fondant or gum paste not sure best way round to do it if I make it out of fondant will it be to heavy? Any help would be great thanks. Jo

I've made a couple, I use RKT. You only need the top half of the bottle as that is the part that sticks out the bucket.

I made these out of sugar.  I bought a product at Hobby Lobby to make my own rubber mold by painting over a real bottle.  Then when that was dry I poured the heated sugar mixture into the mold and twirled so it wasn't solid.  This is a fairly long process so you may be looking for a quicker answer.  If you want to see how to do it, look on u tube.
