Ok. I just received an order for a birthday cake for a 12 year old. They are allowing me to do whatever I want as long as I include these aspects:

hot pink and lime green

2 tier

chevrons

her initials

the infinity sign

flowers

and has to be over the top!

Price is no problem.

I can be creative using 2 or 3 of these ideas but am having trouble figuring out how to incorporate all! Any suggestions?

I was building a vision in my head as I read it.  I would make the base color of the bottom cake a lime green color with hot pink chevrons.  Then reverse it for the top tier making it hot pink with lime green monogram.  Flowers on the top - slightly off center and cascading just a bit down the side.  And another grouping of flowers on the top of the first tier (opposite from he cascade on top).  I've forgotten what the infinity sign looks like but can you incorporate it on either side of the monogram?  And how's this for over the top.  What about either lime green or hot pink rhinestone ribbons along the side of the cake board and around the base of the top tier.  Oh WOW, wait - just had another idea..............too bad you couldn't get a lime green rhinestone initial to insert into the front of the cake on top of the bottom tier.  Would look totally glam against the hot pink fondant.  Ok, I'm done.  Night, night.

Wow! That sounds awesome. As you described it, I envisioned it also! The infinity symbol is a sideways 8. I could put one of those on each side of the monogram! I really like the idea of the cascading flowers too. I'm going to draw up some ideas. I'll post a pic when I complete it. Thanks!!!

Maybe you could do one tier the green and the other pink with maybe three chevron lines going round the middle of the cakes in the opposite colour (so pink cake has green, green cake has pink) but instead of joining them all the way round have a gap at the front of both cakes, on the bottom cake put the infinity Symbol in the gap and on the top cake put the child's initials in the gap. If I were going to throw flowers in there too I would either go with white, or as they have requested something over the top something bright like a really really bright yellow flower might be the way to go.

AI'm seeing a single base color, either the green or the pink, in tall narrow tiers, at least five inches tall. I'd do a single huge fat chevron thru the big one, and a perfect stripe of gold, thru the middle with a smattering of gold dragees for texture. Infiniti symbol reverse stenciled on top tier, with gold, and a splattery effect around the edges. Bold cut out name over that, maybe just an outline of the name, so the symbol is still visible. Ridiculously oversized wafer paper blooms, cascading from top tier, one absurdly big, the rest smallish to tiny. And have that extend below the cake, like when it sits on a pedestal, the flowers hang down to the table.

ALike single inch difference between tier sizes. Ex. 4, 5, 6, etc.

I like all those ideas! I love the tall cakes and also thought about throwing some gold in there for the glam effect. I only have 2 weeks so I have to get my design nailed down. Thanks for your input!!!
