Hi, I am making a fruit cake and would like to place it onto a cake board covered in fondant. My question is: Do i need to have something between the bottom of the fruit cake and the iced board? and if so, what? Marzipan? Baking parchment?
Iv'e also heard that you cant place a fruit cake directly onto a foil cake board as it can react badly with the foil? Is this true?
Looking forward to a reply if anyone can help
