AHi everyone,
I recently started trying mini cupcakes and got my first big order...
I need to pack 200 mini cupcakes and I am having trouble figuring out how.
How many minicupcakes would fit in a sheet box? I know that for regular cupcakes I can fit 75 in a sheet box.
All you input is greatly appreciated as usual.
Thanks!
AOmg! I hate making mini cupcakes! How do you ladies put batter? By the tablespoon? Pastry bag? Small icecream scoop?
A
I know You could try with a pastry bag and it would be a little easier, I have my thing with pastry bags for filling cupcake molds I can never get the right amount in the first batch.
Happy Baking!
ATurns out I was able to fit 100 mini cupcakes in a half sheet box, they were not tight at all. Thanks for your help :)
AI always have issues with the first batch not being uniform, and usually the first one is for my niece and nephews, I save them a little buttercream and let them have fun decorating them.
IKR, they were for an impromptu baby shower and they didn't seem to mind, lol Awwww, that was sweet, my little ones love eating the left over cake domes!
AI am in a bind as I usually have mini cupcake inserts for my boxes but ups isn't going to make it in time. You guys don't find that the cupcakes tip or get messed up not using inserts?
Cupcakes of any size need to have some kind of support. I read a thread here where someone made their own insert so you can try the search function. A box or container without an insert will work if the cupcakes are touching. If you don't have enough to fill a box, try a temporary fix. Use wadded up waxed paper or parchment, or food grade waxed tissue paper.
Agreat tips Mimi Fix as always. Thank you. It is an order of 7 dozen so I'm thinking it will fill 2 boxes. I was just concerned about the customer having a hard time removing them w/out getting the frosting messed up.
