I am making a shower cake that has the baby on top.  I have never used modeling chocolate or molded anything before.    So, I purchased modeling chocolate and the mold.  I kneaded the chocolate and placed it in the mold...................now what?  Leave it out or refrigerate?

Was I supposed to grease the mold first?  I am lost and need advise desperately!

Put the filled mold in the freezer for about 15 minute, take it out and unmold. LEAVE the baby, do not touch it, don't mess with it as there will be condensation from the change in temperature and you could damage the surface if you touch it. The condensation will dry out and then you can dust it.

I like working with modelling chocolate in molds as they set up so quick that if you don't like it you can knead again and refill.

If you dust the mold with corn starch (aka corn flour) and also dust the modeling chocolate with corn starch before molding, you may be able to avoid freezing it in order to get it out. Then you don't have to worry about condensation.
