I just watched Ace of Cake. Did any one else hear what Jeff said the interns do? Wash cake pans. They do a lot of cakes in a week so I wonder how much decorating you would actually get to see.

after reading the first few posts, i was going to say the exact same thing.
of course if i had the chance to do this, i would, but honestly how could i? i have 3 kids and countless other things to take care of here at home... unfortunately, my hobby cant take center stage. oh well. i learn more from watching the show than i would washing the pans.

Before the intern idea I had dreams of just being able to go thru MD and being able to stop by his shop, but they only see folks by appointment only, and I suppose that's if your gonna order a cake, not just to be a "fly on the wall". As for the washing dishes... Well... As long as it's gloves, Dawn, and SOS pads, I'm in... Of course, can't use the SOS on my licensed kitchen stuff... But, Heck, a week away from the cute DD with an ear infection and DH getting to spend a week alone with her... Can I fly to Baltimore tomorrow?????? 
PLEEEEZE????? No wait, DH would want to fly out with me because he'd want to "make up" for the "Fort McHenry Incident" 
when we went out there on a trip a few years ago (we walked 2+miles from where the car was parked because some guy told us "it's just on the other side of this bridge", wearing long-sleeves on an 90degree Baltimore day because we had just gotten off the plane from a MN 12 degree day -- NOT happy about the hike because we didn't get to actually SEE much of the fort)

melysa, you took the words right off my monitor. I was about to type the same thing. Heck, I'm wondering how it's going to work out when I take my Wilton classes (they were pushed back until Feb - Bummer!). I want to see if DH actually gets home a bit early on Friday evenings so I have someone to watch our three children and our three cats.
Well I live about 45 minutes to an hour from Duff's shop and although I could probably just phone them up or email them and ask for an appointment to get to meet him I'd love to meet them all! He's so dreamy!!!!! lol I entered before I thought about all I'll be doing this summer lmao. We are moving in a few weeks and I won't have a baby sitter although hubby has a weeks paid vacation and I think it would do us good to have a nice family vacation lol. I wonder if they'd pay for a nice cushy flight from my local airport to the bmore airport lmfao 2 minute flight! Would be better then driving there lol. I'd love to just pop in there but I've also heard their shop is off the "beaten path" so no drop ins can happen or looky lous lol. But I think it'd be great if a CC'er won and would wear a little something saying Hi to all the CC'ers lmao like a little name tag that says Hi my name is CC'er BLAH BLAH lol oh well.

Yea- I think I may go into the city this weekend and do a drive by to check it out - hey, you never know - maybe I can see them trying to stuff a moose or something into the jeep in 20 degree snowy weather that we've been having here!! lol - Man - better make sure the batteries are charged for my camera!! I'm sure Saturday's are busy delivery days for them so I'm sure it's a good chance I may see at least one of them out around the shop!! If I go I will post pics!! LOL OH shoot - I have my own Deer cake to make tomorrow for my brother's bday....Hmm - I have to find a way to get out of the house and do a drive by....I'll keep thinking.... I wonder if I knocked on their door and said I was lost that they would believe me!?!?!?!?! Oh, only for a glimpse inside....ahhh....LOL
