Can I adhear candy clay together with water or do I need something else to make it stick? I know I just use water on fondant but candy clay is a totally different product
candy clay is oil based...water will just bead up
if you are in the process of modeling with candy clay, i.e. the clay is still soft and pliable and a little oily, then pieces will stick to themselves...like with this rose
if the candy clay has already firmed up or dried, use melted candy to attach pieces together...like with the ears and bow center on these cake pops (notice the line at the edge of the ear and center dot of the bows)
I use warm water to stick candy clay/modeling chocolate together. Never found the need to use anything else. The water "melts" the surfaces and it gets sticky pretty quickly.
