I need some inspiration or ideas. Our church does fruits of the spirit for VBS, and I have to make 200+ cupcakes. Last year I made all cupcake cakes for different fruits. I am wanting to do something different this year. Any thoughts or ideas?? Please help!

AAre you wanting to keep all 200+ the same flavor? You can do 2-4 flavors - all fruit flavored (Orange creme, watermelon...). Are you familiar with the song that goes "The Fruit of the Spirit is not a coconut, oh the Fruit of the Spirit is not a coconut. If you want to be a coconut you might as well hear it, you can't be a Fruit of the Spirit cause the Fruit is love, joy, peace...." I think for simplicity sake, going with one or 2 basic flavors and then either making (um, that would veer from simplicity) fondant or royal icing toppers in the shapes of the fruit from the song. OR just print out the Fruits of the Spirit and turn them into a pick for the top of each cupcake.

Thank you! Yes just sticking with chocolate, white and strawberry. I want something for the WOW factor lol  Haven't decided quite what that is yet. But I will probably just do what you suggested! :)

AHi, Ronda's Cakes, are you able to use real fruits for toppings? Or maybe even use tarts then top with fresh fruits? Just a suggestion.

I think it would be sweet to do simple vanilla bean cupcakes with some different fruit flavoured BC on top (raspberry, passionfruit, mango, strawberry etc) and a fondant disc with the words of the fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace etc) printed on the fondant disc. Keep it simple because you have 200 plus to do!

AWhat about a fondant topper like this?

Not sure if you have any desire to make 200 of them, but they seem like simple toppers. You can make them in advance so they dry well and stick them into the swirl on top of each cupcake.

I also like this. http://makebakecelebrate.com/easy-school-spirit-cupcakes/

If you have alphabet cutters you could do something like this. Edible markers would be good to have too. So (what I'm thinking) for Joy you would cut out a "J" and with the edible marker you would write "oy" on it... and cut out a "P" for Peace and write "eace" on it (I think you get the idea) The sprinkles are just cute, and what VBSer doesn't like sprinkles?! :)
