AThat is a super intense stand.
I would keep the cake SUPER DUPER simple and let the stand do most of the eye work.
The wedding colors they chose are a little baffling too. That combo screams baby shower or baby reveal or really anything with a baby lol.
Can't really help with design without knowing more. But like I said, keep it ridiculously simple.
yes what thenerdybaker said, plus i would go with a white/cream color icing then use one of the colors for a larger flower and the other for an accent to prevent the baby shower from happening-- like a pretty peach rose and small blue blossoms better yet the peach rose with white blossoms with blue dots inside -
or like a completely different decor being one color like flowers blue with peach pearl decor--
what does the bride want
AShe's left it to me. She just said leave it to u. Her dress is like a peachy colour and the groom is wearing baby blue shirt...I'm so confused.
That's fine, go ahead and "decide" for her. Then run what you decided by her very specifically in detail and get her approval. With pictures or sketches as appropriate.
You might want to Google "Peach and blue wedding cakes". I saw a few lovely designs with simple decor using those colors as the theme. There is a gorgeous ruffle style cake with a simple flower at the top that's pretty lovely.
AThanks hun. Do u think a light peach base colour with a light blue damask design around it would be too much on the stand?
AI'm thinking you could go simpler than that honestly. The stand is a tad modern for damask IMHO. Do you have any pictures of cakes on that stand OR the name of the stand?
Does she want flowers on the cake or ribbons? You could use a simple cake design and add the bling to the fantasy flowers centers or ribbons in the colors of her wedding. I think it would compliment the cake stand.
Just tossing a few ideas around in my head. Hth

I agree with mzteaze.
Damask I think is pushing it farther than you need to go.
A fairly simple base cake in a neutral color and bold bursts of color, possibly with a few blingy additions to tie in to the stand is the way to go IMO.
Seeing a cake on this stand would help greatly as well. I am having a doozey of a time imagining it.
It is a weird colour combo, but I did a wedding cake in these colours about a month or two ago. I ended up doing two open peach-coloured roses, pale blue sating ribbon at the base of each tier, and a white stencilled pattern (can't remember the design but it is a small damask print from DS) on the middle tier. Ivory fondant.
However, they didn't then whack it on a blingy chandelier stand!
AI was gifted the stand from my husband and the only picture I have is the one I put up. I haven't used it yet and he said he bought if off eBay so he doesn't know the name either... :-/ I love those roses enga Thnks everyone for your input.
Hi made her sisters cake which was white with blue satin ribbon and Brooch on each tier...won't it look the same if I did it for her too?? Arghhhh so confused
AI saw a similar stand on a website called Decorate My Wedding. If you look at Cake stands, then Madison square...that sort of looks like your cake stand.
In an oddball sort of way though, they show a cake that's mostly white with a back damask "lace" ribbon at the bottom.
That got me thinking....what if the cake was more of soft ivory color with a damask ribbon in peach with one layer and blue on another? The topper could be some type of simple flower with a subtle peach and ivory color.
My wedding was peach and green, but I wore ivory instead of white white softened the colors a bit.
Hope the link works...

AI think an ombre cake like this would be nice with shades of light blue insted of teal.I would just do one peach flower and I don't think I would do the pleated fondant-just smooth. Best wishes!
AThank u so much everyone for your input I will definately post pics once it's ready xx
