AI suggest you stick pins in your eyes rather than make that cake, it will be a lot more fun. That my friend is thousands and thousands of dragees individually stuck onto that cake, with a silver ribbon trim in my opinion. You might just want to book yourself a long stay in hospital for when you finish.....good luck!

Your cake pic looks like the dragees of different shapes and sizes were placed more randomly than the cake in the video, which makes me think that they were placed on by pressing in handfuls of them while holding the cake on a slant. It also looks like they placed the same strip of rhinestones used as a border on the first tier to out line where they added the dragees. I could be wrong, I don't know why  I cant zoom in on the pic.

LOL...actually, I think people have stuck them on with piping gel...rather than sticking them on individually.  you could probably coat the area in piping gel and press them on ...it is really pretty.
