I was looking for how many servings I could get from a 10 in. cake. I went to a website that I used to go to for this info but I can't seem to get the info online anymore?

Would you cut it more like slices from a sheet cake in the middle instead of wedges?

I need a cake that serves 40 people. So I was thinking a either a 10/6 in cakes or 12/8 inch cakes.

What do you think?

I was wanting to get some bigger pieces instead of the smaller 2x2 size pieces for a party. These would be 2 layer cakes filled. It is for a bridal shower.

I recently made a 9" round that was 6" high for a birthday party. I cut it in half then made slices (not triangle wedges) to serve. It served around 20 nice size pieces.
