what kind of recipe was it--did you fridge the cake at any points--did it have butter or oil--do you think you overbaked? were they a fluffy cake lover when you made a denser kind?

i brush/squirt a simple syrup splash on most of my cakes

I have thought about doing that, but my question has always been if you can ice the cake immediately after the simple syrup?

Regards
