Has anyone every frozen cake mix (already prepared) and had it turn out just as tasty?

From what I've read in books, if you have extra batter it is okay to store it, but only in the fridge, in the pan, and only for an hour or so.

Cakes freeze so well you're better off doing that. I would not try to freeze batter. The eggs or something would probably be effected.

I'm not sure if this is right or not but I heard that you can store a prepared cake in the fridge even over night as long as you bring it back to room temperature before baking it. Hope I was helpful icon_biggrin.gif
