AI have used pure lemon extract to paint onto my fondant and has worked great. Now, when I mix black it turns blue?! It worked before and I feel I haven't done anything different. Help! :) Thank you!!!
I don't particularly care for lemon juice myself, I use either some inexpensive Vodka or Gin as they are colorless and do not change colors of gel or dust. I suggest getting some and use it the same as you would the lemon juice, I think you will like it much better.
AIt is clear extract and not juice itself :/. I make mainly kid cakes and tried to stay away from vodka, but I might have to if I can't solve this. ;) I just am wondering why it worked and now doesn't.... Thanks!!

If you look at the ingredients on your lemon extract bottle you will find that the alcohol content is basically the same as your straight vodka. An extract is made by placing an ingredient, ie lemon peel into alcohol (often vodka) so as to extract the flavour. So if you are using an extract as your painting medium you may as well give vodka a try, as it is clear it should not affect the colour that you are using as compared to using a yellow lemon extract, it is odd that you are using a clear extract though and that is affecting the colour - maybe someone else can help you with that.
