I love this cake and want to try and make it!  Does anybody know what kind of flower it is suppose to be and how they attached it to the cake?  Thanks for your help in advance!

I just made one of these cakes for the first time, it is not exactly the same but I had a look at the youtube vids and that was pretty much what I did.  My customer wanted hers coloured in shades of ivory to apricot.  The cake is covered in all butter SMBC.  I made the flower and petals out of modelling choc as it had to sit out for quite a while and I was worried gumpaste petals would wilt. It wasn't too difficult, the hardest thing was placing the shaded colours right, I had to keep walking away and looking at it from a distance.  Give it a go Farmgirl, it was fun!
