Hi Ladies,

I'm making about 50 cupcakes for my daughters birthday and I know I can freeze them. I've been reading some of the posts on here and I just had a couple questions.

How do you freeze them? Obviously in the freezer lol but what do you wrap them in? I was thinking maybe some saran wrap and then throw them in a Ziploc bag? Would that work?

Do I unwrap them first when I'm thawing them or do I leave them wrapped until their thawed?

Do I let them cool before wrapping them or just wrap them fresh out of the oven?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

Always let baked goods cool before wrapping and freezing. Otherwise, the excess moisture has potential for molding before we can actually see any mold. After cooling, you can place cupcakes in airtight tubs or tins, or (as you suggested) wrap in plastic (or foil) and place in ziploc-type bags. When ready to thaw, I leave products wrapped, but some people unwrap them first. Enjoy your daughter's birthday celebration!

APerPers personally I just put mine in a freezer bag and they hold fine. When ready let them thaw
