AUmmm, need a wee bit more information than that. Carved? Tiered? For how many people? Paying customer? Box mix everything, scratch everything? Have an example of the cake you want to make?

If she only has $50 to spend then she can't afford a 2 tiered cake...unless you don't mind losing money that is. That's not sarcasm. ..that is fact. If you want design inspiration, just look at the gallery on here or Google 'super hero cakes'. You'll have a better idea of what is easy and doable for you.

Bottom tier could be a city line with the Batman symbol. Top could be Captain America's shield. I would consider both relatively easy & not too much work for the cost and very recognizable.

Give us something to work with then! Which superheroes? How much can she spend, what's your pricing? I personally couldn't do anything for fifty dollars, I'd need another hundred before I could make anything. What are the ideas you have come up with already?

Got to agree with carmijok.  You have to accept that some folks just aren't your customer.  $50 for a two tier cake just isn't enough.  It's all about the number of servings and how much you charge per serving.

AOh I know. Order two cakes from Walmart, iced plain, and then you can slap on some fondant cutouts. You should come out ahead at least by fifty cents or so (just forget about charging for your time, because I'm sure she's a lovely customer and deserves a break)

Most of that was dead serious too, because you did ask for the easiest and cheapest ideas.]

APlastic toys or party favors from the dollar store. Bright buttercream colors. Frozen buttercream transfer. Search the gallery for superhero cakes. There are loads. Most have each tier with a different superhero logo. They are done in fondant, usually. I wouldn't recommend spending any of that $50 on fondant. Doing the cake board red with a spider web is a nice touch that doesn't cost much extra.

I just don't see how you can make a two tierd super hero cake (or any two tierd cake) for $50. Not trying to be mean or anything, but there is no way you will make any money off this cake at that price point..infact I'm sure you'll actually loose money off of it.

Do the same as you did before then...... AND add the cost of the fondant - and any additional time you spent using fondant as opposed to what you normally use

I know it sounds simple......... it IS !!
