I'm wanting to make a wedding cake with a faux ribbon border but I'm not wanting to use a real ribbon. Any suggestions on how I should make this? My idea was perhaps gumpaste. Has anyone ever made a cake with a ribbon border before without using a real ribbon? If so- how did you do it? Thank you!

I often make ribbon. I use gumpaste if I want little tiny pieces or a mixture of gumpaste and fondant if I want bigger pieces. I just roll it out and use a pizza cutter to cut to shape and size
