Hi all....I posted these here because I want your opinion. I have included a full pic, the ribbons, and a shot of her back. They may seem a little blurry but once again my stupid camera was acting up icon_mad.gif I made this for a woman who works at the County Aging Department and her breast cancer is gone!!!! A friend of mine asked me to do the cake because they work together....I am so very please with how this came out....12 hours from start to finish icon_smile.gif

TIA
Beth

Awww thanks Squirrelly!! icon_wink.gif I'm trying my best thumbs_up.gif The Center also wants to start a "Cake's for Cause" which gives me ALL kinds of ideas icon_biggrin.gif and I told them if any of my cakes sell, I want all the funds to be sent towards that cause. I know one that is on the top and that is Childhood Cancer...I could make these a 1000 times over just because of that icon_smile.gif TY for peeking

Hugs,
Beth

Awwh Beth, you are such a nice person! Funny how when things are for charity, you don't care how much time you spend on them or how much they cost you, it just makes you feel good to help.
Funny thing I have noticed on every last cake site I go on. There are a lot of Beths and every last one of them is really nice!

icon_biggrin.gif Well, I started this whole cake decorating cake when I was watching Food Network and became really inspired. Not to sound big headed, but I think if I apply myself more, I could be good. Hubby is my #1 fan...lol I enjoy doing it and if I make no money, then oh well...at least the family has more sweets then they ever had...LOL and My MIL is a breast cancer survivor so this subject really hits close to home. I try to be creative, but as with anything...gotta learn to crawl before you walk.. icon_biggrin.gif I want to thank everyone here for being so supportive and quick to respond.

Hugs,
Beth

TY lastingmoments....I am like you..the classes just don't fit with the kids in school, hubby working...etc. I am taking the cake over to her this morning...so keep your fingers crossed that she likes it icon_smile.gif I showed my friend this morning..and she was speechless. She said that is was perfect. And yes..I am soooo thankful for CC, without them I would not get so inspired icon_biggrin.gifthumbs_up.gif

Your cake turned out really well.!! I'm sure your friend will like it alot. Breast cancer is an awful disease.........it hits close to home for me also because my aunt is a breast cancer survivor. I know October is breast cancer awareness month and you inspired me to make her a cake also. She finished her chemo only last week so I know she'll be very proud!!!
