I am very new to fondant - how do i use ganache under fondant?
I read that i have to let the ganache sit before putting it on the cake. How long?
How soon can i cover it with fondant after I put the ganache on the cake?
Thank you!
You should really go to following blog for her ganache tutorial. It is excellent!

Good luck!
Looks great!
When you cut into it..is it a smooth cut? Or do you have to apply pressure?
Just wondering to try it for my daughters birthday...bu i dont want her to struggle to cut the first piece of cake ;-)
the fondant stayed soft, it was pretty easy to cut, but you need a little more pressure than with just buttercream
AAwww, that's adorable! it's hard to ever go back to buttercream once you work with ganache. I wish I could use it every time. :-(
Thanks - yes, in two weeks my boys will have their 3rd birthday party, and want to make a Thomas train cake, so this was the practice cake for that. :) I figured if it turned out ugly, no one would see it anyway. :)
That's adorable!! Can't believe it's your first fondant cake, wow. Your Thomas cake is going to be amazing!
