I am making this cake next month.  I have been told that these are silver dragees.  They do seem to have the shine of silver, but in my opinion they also look like they have a lot of pearl in them.  Could I achieve this look by adding Super Pearl Luster Dust to the silver dragees?  Any other advice for achieving this look?

AJust a guess, but it looks like there's something going on with the lighting that makes those look more pearly and less silvery. Have you looked into other colors of dragees ? They do come in all sorts of colors and finishes.

You might try practicing with silver dragees. The first thing I would try is spraying them with an edible pearl spray. And then you wouldn't have the issue of the fact that super pearl isn't edible. Or trying to get the dust to adhere. There are some edible pearlescent dusts, but the one I know of as super pearl dust is not.

I can't tell for sure either. Looks to me like the lighting has been manipulated during post processing, like Howsweet mentioned. So if this is a cake for a client, the easiest thing to solve the whole dilemma would be to ask which ones she wants, no?
