Hi guys, I wonder has anyone any recommendations for purple food colouring for mixing into cake batter?

I've tried normal liquid (mixing red ad blue) and sugarflair purple gel and both just give a sad looking grey/lilac colour.

All my other colours are nice and bright on my rainbow cakes it's just the purple that's disappointing!

AI mix sugarflairs deep purple with their fuchsia and I get a lovely purple colour. Not sure if I still have a picture or not. I'll have a look.

Not the best picture but it's all I have. I was doing it for college so it's just a quick shot in class. But you came play with the level of purple with how you mix the two colours together.

i just wanted to say that i would recommend making cupcakes with the different types of coloring in order to test this out to get it to your liking--
