I remember when the 6 qt mixer came out, there seemed to be a lot of problems with it back then.  Have any of you purchased a new 6 qt. mixer lately?  Has anyone had any problems with it?  For those of you who have purchased this mixer within the last year or so....what has been your experience with it?  Are you happy with its performance?  Thank you.

Sure have.... a couple months ago I purchased the KA Pro HD off of Craigslist from a lady who was downsizing from house to apartment.  Works like a dream, I find it a bit loud but otherwise its great. It took a bit to get used to the no flip top but now I'm so accustomed to it I don't feel it to be inconvenient at all like I did in the beginning. I run it for long periods of time making frosting and such without any trouble at all and even if I do eventually have trouble there are plenty of websites that demo how to repair your KA mixer yourself as mine has no warranty.

AIt is so loud lol. But a worthy investment. I have two. A 5 qt and a 6 qt. my 6 qt is truly a work horse. It's just so damn loud lol! I find that it works better with making fondant. I make so much of it now and I've not heard anything funny going on. Never looks like it's tiring or running hot

I also have a 5-qt and a 6-qt and I second that the 6-qt is really loud!  But I still love it.

Oh I love my Mixer!!! The best part is that I got it in Craigslist from a couple that purchased it by mistake and couldn't return it because they lost the receipt so I got it cheaper! Yes, I agree with morganchampagne, it's very loud.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, my 6 QT Kitchenaid.  I will never, ever be without one again.  It's loud, but it's mighty!

I appreciate all of your responses .........sounds like Kitchen Aid has worked out all the "kinks" in their 6 qt. mixer except for the noise that it makes.....which is no big deal.  Thanks again.
