Hi All!! :D

I am baking a cake for my son's first grade class for their Easter Celebration. I want to do an egg hatching and I am not sure How do to make the egg shaped cake for 30 kids. I was thinking of using a 7" in the middle, 2- 6"  and a 2 small pyrex bowl for the top and bottom or, to use the wilton wonder mold. What to you think? any other idea?

Thank you a lot!!!

It might be discontinued I'm not sure..I just bought one last month. If you are going to carve I would just do three layers of a 6 inch round cake; that should give a good "egg" shape with plenty of sevings.

Why not use the half football pan (trim away the laces!).  Make 2 for a full size egg. Or use it as half an egg and if you wanted more height you can trim a sheet cake for another layer underneath it.
