I got distracted making a white chocolate mudcake.  While melting the chocolate / butter / sugar mixture I was busy preparing my pans, and when I checked it the mixture was boiling. :-(

I've carefully started a fresh batch, but still wondering if the boiled batch would work?  If I leave it long enough to cool down before adding the rest of the ingredient?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hi   I have made White Chocolate mud cakes tons of time and as long as you haven't burnt the chocolate on the bottom of the saucepan, it should be okay.

Have a sniff and a look (no overly brown bits?) and if it seems okay, go ahead and bake.

AThanks. It wasn't burnt, or curdled, and after it cooled down it looked pretty much like a mixture that hadn't been boiled, so I decided to use it and see how it turns out.

Thank you for your advice.
