AThe fondant looks smooth and I don't see any bulging. The flowers are pretty, but I think they overwhelm the top tier. I'd put a smaller arrangement on the top and make clusters of 2-3 around the other tiers rather than single flowers evenly spaced around.

Congrats on your first wedding cake! You put a lot of work in. Keep it up! Each one will get better and better.

Are those alstromeria flowers real? If so, they can be toxic causing skin irritation, nausea, and vomiting. I would suggest you do your research on edible vs non edible flowers. (A quick google search can bring up such info.) Also, real or not, I would suggest not sticking flower stems/wires directly into a cake. You should have flower picks designed for cakes so that they do not come in contact with the cake itself.

Your lovely though rather large arrangement could be contained in a small oasis dish covered in white florist tape (or even fondant if you're up to the extra work).

Many flowers are highly poisonous as mentioned already or even just overly scented which can affect the taste of the cake on which they rest.( Think Damask rose or sweet pea)

If you don't want to make gumpaste flowers a high end faux flower can work as long as they are dust free.

Your cake is gorgeous !

It looks good! I agree on the size of the flower arrangement on top, it definitely needs to be smaller and more proportionate.

Definitely make sure you do your research before placing any type of fresh flowers on a cake. The florist most likely will not be aware that certain flowers should not be placed on a cake (at least that has been our experience) so you will have to make sure you know what type of flowers the bride is ordering for the cake, and tell her and the florist if they are toxic. The bride would then need to decide whether to use a different type of flower or opt for the edible or silk version of the one she wants.
