AWhat to do when a client sends someone to collect a cake and it's perfect then something ( who knows what) goes wrong during the trip and you get blamed for sending a broken cake? I seriously don't know what to do. Please advise
AFind out what went wrong? A local baker here had that happen to her and tbe cake had obviously been mishandled cos you could see where the cake had fallen into the side of the box. The driver blamed it on the baker and so the customer complained, eventually thto driver had to own up to poor driving or mishandling (i can't remember which one) cos the baker showed the before photos she had along side the customers after photos and explained what had been done.
If its poor cake structure though it would be best to find out what went wrong and potentially partially refund for it.
AUnfortunately for me the driver does not own up. I do have before pictures which I has sent the client and her take on it was if only the cake had stayed like that... I have looked at the pic a million times and for the life of me can't figure out what on earth happened. Looks like it had been dropped :(
It definitely looks like it has been thrown around in some way, was there any support dowelling in it?
AYes there are dowels as support. Wish I could figure out what had happened. The cake board could not move around as it was the exact same size as the box.
AThank you for your reply that is the only explanation I could come up with myself either that or someone tried to pull the two tiers apart and voila instant disaster :(
