AHello ladies how are you all. I have a birthday cupcake order for a 3 years old girl and she is allergic to all dairy products I was googling for a good frosting recipe but I wasn't sure. I want to know if any of you have tried any good dairy free frosting recipe ? I'll appreciate if you can share it with me.. thank you and have a nice day :)

AI don't have the exact measurements in front of me. But my friend has to make allergy friendly cakes for her kids, and she uses smart balance whipped "butter" it's dairy free but not soy free. Then she just uses soy milk in place of whatever liquid. I'm pretty sure it's 1c butter to 1lb powdered sugar, salt, vanilla, and enough liquid to get the right consistency. A basic abc recipe, just switch out the butter and milk.

I've used this recipe for one of my cousins:

1/2 cup non-hydrogenated shortening, such as spectrum
1/2 cup non-hydrogenated margarine, such as earth balance
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted if clumpy
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup plain soy milk or soy creamer

Just use the basic ABC and sub soy/rice/almond milk or water for the liquid.
