Restaurant Serving Sizes?

AI don't have a bakery, but I do cakes where I work and I have a question. How small/big of a slice would you consider reasonable in a restaurant type setting? I've read about serving sizes for birthday cakes and wedding cakes, but I don't think I've seen restaurant serving sizes.

AI used to work as pastry chef in 2 restaurants, we cut a 10" cake in 12 slices (around $8) very tall cake
