AHello everyone! I am new to cake decorating and I am attempting to make some gum paste figures for my son's upcoming Sesame Street themed birthday cake. I am going to start on the figures soon and was wondering how much gum paste I should color for a 3in high character (ex: Cookie Monster). I want enough so that I don't run into issues with the gum paste colors not matching if I do multiple batches, but I don't want a lot extra left over either! Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

ATake some old fondant if you have any, any color, doesn't matter, and roughly model out something that size. You should be able to fairly calculate about how much you'll need. I don't think it's possible for anyone to answer that question.

AThank you! That's a good idea. It should at least give me a rough idea.
