Hi All,

a friend asked me to make a cake for her father-in-laws 60th birthday.  There isn't a specific party theme but decorations will be burlap and chalk board.  I wanted to make a cake covered in black fondant (maybe sprinkle then rub in a bit of powdered sugar to give the chalk effect) and boarder the cake with sugar veil burlap.  Here's the question...... I've never used sugar veil before and before investing $80 in a woven mold, how can I create the effect or purchase a smaller mold that would be a bit cheaper?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
