I just finished a consultation with a bride who initially wanted a chocolate-covered cake for her wedding.  Probably 4-5 tiers but she is holding her wedding in a very very tall venue so wanted to know if there was a way of adding height to it.  So I suggested using pillars and filling the gaps with fresh fruit/flowers/etc.  She seemed to like this idea but then said she also liked the 'naked cakes', and would it be possible to use pillars with a naked cake?  I was totally honest and said I had never seen it done but would research and get back to her - has anyone managed this before?  And any tips?  In theory, I can't see a problem but in practice, I'm a bit more concerned...!

Thanks x

AMaybe a separator would be better which you could fill with flowers?

Ooh, actually looks very pretty :-)  Thanks!  Will definitely need to be finding the UK equivalent to the SPS system for this I think...
