I am very frustrated, and I am wayyyy to nice. I have a cake order coming due Tuesday. (I will be popping cake into freeze tonight, or was going to) :(

I have an order for a smash cake that I am almost finished with and the customer messaged me requesting her cake to be switched to a jello cake. (Her son is sick). I am frustrated because the cake is literally a white piping away from finished....

I told her I'd look into a jello cake, I have never made one. Can anyone help? She wants a 6x4 round cake, can I just pop the jello into the cake pan? Will it release?? Is there a special jello dish?? Any help will be very appreciated. If I can't find anything I will just tell her no.

The only Jello cake I have made is a poke cake and those you just make the cake and after it cool you poke holes in the cake and pour the jello over the cake and cool it again until the jello is set up.

AI have heard of the poke cake. I think I am just going to tell her it won't be possible and stick with the cake I have already made. But it's worth looking into for the future.
