Hi!

Is it possible to freeze a decorated (fondant) cake that has simple syrup on each layer? I have frozen cakes with fondant before and they defrosted beautifully...however, I have never frozen a cake that has simple syrup on it before.

Does the simple syrup defrost ok, or does the texture of it change?

Thanks!

Hi, I have frozen cakes with simple syrup on them, both frosted and unfrosted and never had any problems. My cakes are always buttercream though,  so I cant give any direction about the fondant issue. Good Luck.
