Hi,

I'm looking into purchasing a Non-stick fondant mat. No mater what I do my fondant sticks to my counter top. I was wondering what your thoughts were and which you thought were the best and why, along with your experience with different ones.

Some the brands I have come across are: Fat Daddio's, Ateco, "the Mat" from Sweet Wise. I'm sure there are more.

I have used the Wilton Fondant plastic mat but I can't say the I am too impressed with it. It's super thin and even when I trim gently my tools leave impressions.

Cheers!

I have the blue Ateco mat and I LOVE it! I've never had fondant stick to it. I don't even have to put down shortning or powdered sugar/cornstarch. Best $20 I've spent in a long time (great for cookie/pie/pizza dough too). Now,  I can't cut fondant with my exacto knife on it, but I've used my rotary blade and cookie cutters with light pressure, and I haven't gotten any marks/indentions :)
