Hi all, I'm new here. I need 3 of these cakes so I can stack them, but I'll be making each one a different color, so unfortunately I can't just bake one tall one and torte it. Also, it would be nice if the recipe used only 3 eggs (1 egg per cake), so that I could save eggs :P  and it would be cool if you can use either butter OR margarine in the cake.

Ok, wait, I just realized that 1 egg per cake would not be very good. Make that 2 per cake.

Why don't you just use your usual white cake recipe and split it to add the colors you would need.  Then you wouldn't have to use a different recipe you haven't tried before...

Unfortunately, I don't have a usual recipe, as I have always just used box mixes. I started this thread to see if anyone has a good recipe that I could make.

Search white cake in the recipe section.
