i figured that i put the butter in too warm, but now what.  I stuck it in the freezer for 15 minutes and then one post says beat it....how fast high or low or medium....i did low and it is still soupy. any other ideas?

Probably way too late, but you can stick the mixer bowl into the freezer for a while, or wrap bags of frozen vegetables around the bottom of the bowl to cool it off while you beat the icing.

IMBC can almost always be saved. So sorry you didn't get help sooner. Search in the top right corner of the home page for IMBC troubleshooting and you will find many threads discussing all the potential issues with IMBC. Next time, save it.
