I am on my 3rd KA in 15 years.  My first was a classic and worked great I just out grew the 4 1/2qt bowl. Upgraded to a heavy duty that lasted about 5 years until the gears started slipping. So again I upgraded to a Pro 600.  Of course, again the gears are slipping.  It started just when making fondant with the dough hook now it sticks whenever it is anything up a super light load.  Can't even make cake batter :(  Any suggestions on a machine to get and not spend a small fortune on a "real" commercial unit?  I have 3 cakes between 3/1 and 3/7.  I need suggestions please!!!!

Cuisinart

Or look for a used Hobart.  Doesn't matter how old or how used.

AOh goodness! It only sounds like the worm gear needs to be replaced! It's not a complicated fix, the part costs like... 8 bucks and there are tutorials online.

Here's a good one!
