Is anyone feeling inspired? I could do with a dose!

I have been asked for a cake with the following:

the family cats

a train (he collects trains)

Hornets connection (Watford football team).

My plan is to have a round cake, single tier, Watford colour scarf wrapped round the cake and draping to one side. On top I'm thinking the cats playing with the trains.

The watford scarf is Black, Yellow and Red. So I'm having a complete block on what colour to make the board (I always ice my boards) and the top of the cake, where the cats are playing.

I'm trying to think of something other than Red or Black. I did think of a paler yellow, but don't know if that would then make it tooooo yellow!

This is the scarf if that helps:

Thanks

Why not just white?  I googled white, yellow, black cakes and there were some gorgeous cakes.  Perhaps a red rug on top of the white icing with a few toy train cars and the cats.

AThat would make it simpler!

I just wasn't too sure.

I also find the red sugarpaste bleeds a little on to the white giving it a yellow tinge around the red, has anyone else had that and know how to avoid?

AThe colours in the scarf are quite strong so I understand why you can't decide. Perhaps changing the way you include the colours may help. Perhaps the livery of the train could include the scarf colours. Say in a stripe down the train. The train could become the Watford express. By reducing the amount of colour on the side of the cake you may see your way to finding a way to colour the rest.

Exactly that, too bold perhaps.

Thanks so much, both, for your input, it helps to bounce ideas around :)
