Help! Gum Paste Tiara Won't Set Help!

Hi. I've made a pillow cake for my daughter's birthday, which is today. I made up some gum paste with hot water as per instructions which I found on CC. I then piped a tiara onto waxed paper. This was about 3 days ago. I went to take it off of the wax paper and it is soft. Not to the touch, but it moves, does that make sense? It's not hard. If I take it off of the paper, it's going to droop. Is there anything I can do to make it set up in the next 4 or 5 hours????? It is supposed to sit on the cake 3D style! HELP!
AIf you make up some pastillage paste and form it around a bottle it will set in about an hour
ARight hope this works gelatine paste sets in 15min found this in a book by Nicholas lodge

Sugarflorist, thank you. I'm looking at this recipe and it just does not seem right to me. There is SO little water and So much sugar....have you ever made this before?
AYes I have the amount of water is right . Although depending on absorption you need an extra teaspoon You need to be prepared and work quickly. It sets like china. It is not my first choice of paste because of such a short wording time. But when you have had a breakage on delivery day it is ideal.
Sugarflorist,
Thank you so much for trying to help me out. I must have done something wrong and I failed miserably. Luckily I had a "stand in" tiara (plastic) that I used. It was a lovely cake and my daughter loved it. So, I succeeded anyway!
I'm going to try again when not under pressure to make the gelatin paste. It has me intrigued!
Thanks again. You are great!
