I'm new to the business and I'm a little unsure of how to get more customers... simply to get more known around my area. I don't know how to approach to advertise. I asked some local magazines and they charge a lot! I got an ad in a local mag. and didn't get a single call from it.... Any tips?

What are you selling? If you want to do mostly weddings advertise in a local wedding guide. One-off ads in "normal" magazines don't pull in much business.

The best way to get your name out there is to join networking groups and go meet people who can send clients to you.

That sounds nice. Getting out there is kinda hard for me... I see a lot of people that get their name out there without even trying. I know how to make so many things, have 3 certifications and I've tested all my products but so far I've only worked thorough recommendations. I need something more and to go establish a huge store front is not an option right now. Ill try ur tips. Thank you.

Start a Facebook page or if you already have one make another and join the 2. Ask all your friends and family to 'like' your page. (I'm FB ignorant so a friend did it for me but it worked wonders when I was first starting out).
