Hi there everyone, I found some heart shaped aluminum cupcake tins that I will like to use soon. I was wondering if I need to spray them with some cooking spray or something else before I pour the batter into them? they are thinner than the tins used in making tarts. Any insight would be awesome, thanks so much.

Definitely use something - pan spray, butter, or shortening.

Yup, grease it up.  I was so disppointed when I bought my first expensive 'non-stick' silicon baking molds. and 'non-stick' coated pans.

everything recommended that no grease was needed. Bull, bull, bull.  everything sticks.  I lube up every pan.

Thanks so much everyone. These are not pans, but I thought about spraying some pam into them.
