I used to do cookies, but I can't make them profitable anymore, so I only make cakes. On another thread someone posted a blog/website link that literally tells people "what to charge". The prices were so low, there's no way I could be profitable if I used that chart. I also ran across some awful business advice on there as well as seeing it recommends non edible items on cookies. Yet it seems to be a very successful site - lots of ads for national brands and it even references its overseas followers.

Please tell me this is not considered the last word in cookie pricing. I don't know if it's appropriate for me to provide a link, after being so negative. But if you're all using this, then you probably know which site I mean. I will post a price-- it recommends charging only $7 for a 6 in cookie impeccably decorated with an amazing amount of detail. $7 was the maximum cookie price.

At first that didn't sound too, far off, but then I got out a ruler and looked at the example as well as the others and just thought, no way.

Please enlighten me, cookie people!
