hello im beki just joined today and im wanting to start making cake pops ive tried it twice first time they were to soggy and this time they just seem to slid down the stick but they do taste yummy :)

How do i stop them from falling down the stick or is it because the mixture is wrong cause they arnt very big im using skewers for now just until i get the right amount of each ingredient.

Are you dipping the tips of your sticks into some candy melt before you put your cake ball on? And are you chilling your cake balls before putting them on the sticks? What mixture are you using? What ratio of cake and frosting?

And make sure once you dip the stick in the melt and put your cake ball on you chill them again for a minute before you dip them so the melt on the stick glues the ball to the stick.

I hope that made sense!

I am assuming by skewers you mean the thin wooden ones? That's most likely your problem, they are too thin. You also have to dip the end of the stick in chocolate before inserting it into the pop, like Nadiaa said.

There isn't really a 'recipe' for cake pops, just crumble up a cake, and mix just enough frosting into it to form a ball shape. As little frosting as possible.

They have to be dipped in chocolate, not icing.

This might help some :  http://cakejournal.com/tutorials/how-to-make-cake-pops/

Notice the ratio between icing (or ganache) to cake.  Hope they turn out for you.
