AI've been asked by my boss to make a Sherlock themed cake for her twin girls 18th birthday ,The image she has sent me is way to big for there needs so I'm having to down size it by half , I have a couple of issues I've tried to work out myself but hoping there's a easier option I haven't thought about

My issues are with the door being all black how would I get the small gold numbers ? I no to paint them gold with lusters etc when I've made them but I was wondering how on earth I can make a tiny 221 b?
My second problem is How can I do the white letters on the phone ? I'm hoping to make the phone in all black fondant cut white square and write on them with edible food pen but I'm unsure how to get the white letters as they will be so small , I'll upload a close up of the phone

Any advise I would be really greatful
Thank you x
It's all way over my skill level, so good luck. But I'd use the small tappits or the jem letter cutters for the door.
I would pipe the numbers on the door in royal icing then go over with gold paint when dry. For the phone, is there any way you can get an edible image printed? If not, pipe them too. You'll need patience and a steady hand...!
I was going to suggest the Royal Icing as well. I did a clock cake for New Years (1 cake, variety of different sized clocks) and I used RI with a #1 tip to do the clock faces.
Or, I've never done this, PM Hobbycraft (where I live) prints on edible sheets. You just bring them the picture.
Good luck.
